TOKYO: HUMANIZED CONCRETE
Tokyo (東京 ), the capital of Japan, the center of the Greater Tokyo Area, the largest metropolitan area in the world with almost 36 million population, seat of the japanese goverment and possibly the most fascinating city in the Asia.
During 2012 I spent two months and a half in Tokyo, partly as a liberating trip and also trying to make myself a name as a photographer. During that time I tried to explore Tokyo and capture the feeling of the strange conjunction of structural chaos and order that the city seemed to be throw at me, a first time traveller to Asia. The strange juxtaposition of values such as private and public space where drawn with lines that seemed confusing at first, but later marvelled me.
This series of pictures where all taken in Tokyo between October and December of 2012. A colour set of the pictures was featured in the first number of DobleEspacio Magazine.
